Immerse yourself in the charm of Cyprus at the 18th Almond Blossom Festival in Limnatis village, on February 23rd from 11:00am to 4:00pm, and enjoy the picturesque village in all its natural beauty and cultural delights, appreciating the blooming Almond trees that paint the landscape in shades of pink and white.
Located approximately 20km north of Limassol, Limnatis rests at the heart of the Limassol district. Nestled on the western slope of the lush Limnatis River valley, the village offers peaceful surroundings, and is rightly considered one of the most beautiful villages in Limassol and all of Cyprus.
Organized by the Kouri Xylouriko Community Complex in collaboration with the Limnatis Community Council, this annual event is a rejuvenating day of nature, tradition and flavor for all visitors. Guests can take relaxing walks through the breathtaking almond orchards where hundreds of trees bloom in delicate shades of pink and white. The scenic trails offer a peaceful escape with the sweet scent of blossoms filling the air.
The Almond Blossom Festival is also a time to connect with village life, indulge in traditional customs, sample dishes and homemade treats made by locals, and enjoy live music and the festive village atmosphere.
In traditional Cypriot culture, this is also the period that passages to the annual public holiday of Green Monday, a revered tradition which is celebrated with outdoor family excursions, and the beginning of Lent period, usually falls on the first Monday of Lent each year. This year Green Monday falls on the 3rd of March 2025.
