The venue’s sophisticated design reveals bright, artfully arranged spaces filled with natural light, contemporary accents, and touches of local charm. Every element, from the inviting common areas to the carefully chosen décor, reflects a loyalty to refined aesthetics.
During our visit, two dishes from the menu truly stood out. The grill chicken impressed with its perfectly seared exterior and tender, juicy meat, enhanced by an aromatic marinade that balanced smoky notes with subtle herb, and served alongside the best baked potatoes we had tried in a while. Equally delicious was the risotto, a dish that embraced creaminess with every bite. Its texture was smooth and rich, with the delicate baby calamari being served with saffron risotto boasting a vibrant hue. The dish was further elevated with the inclusion of Iberico ham, Florina peppers, and a scattering of pine nuts, all finished with a fresh burst of basil. Non-arguably a truly remarkable piece of the Chef showcasing hard work and exploration of flavours.
Every corner of Petit Palais speaks of refinement. The thoughtfully arranged spaces offer a visual treat, where airy, sunlit areas and tasteful décor create a sense of sophistication without sacrificing comfort. The ambiance encourages both lively conversations and moments of quiet reflection, making it an ideal setting for an evening of culinary exploration or a leisurely afternoon break, while enjoying the remarkable view of the Cyprus Mountains.
The perfect getaway for a few days late summer break. Cannot praise the staff, hotel and restaurant enough. Rooms clean, quaint and lovely views. Central to everything in Platres. Felt like we had gone back in time to the old fashioned family Cypriot hospitality of yesteryear. Food to die for with service with a smile, something very rare these days.
